Dubuque couples welcomes their first child, Eva
EEEEVVVVAAA If you watched Disney’s WALL-E a few times you would know that this is how WALL-E calls for the love of his life, a cute little white probe sent back to scan Earth for plants, named Eve. It’s an adorable movie and definitely a favorite at the Engler home and mine too!
My most recent little client’s name, Eva, was inspired from the movie, WALL-E. Eva not only has a beautiful name, but is also extra special because she is a rainbow baby. Her mom and dad (Kandice and Mike) just couldn’t wait to meet her and their extra special bundle of joy after having a miscarriage last year. They talked about how excited they were during their maternity session for their baby girl and you should just see how they radiated love for their little miracle at their newborn session. It melts my heart to see parents interact with their new baby…so much joy, beauty and love. Eva’s mom, Kandice, shared that her favorite part thing to do as a new mom is the all the baby snuggles. Of course, that is one of my favorite perks of being a newborn photographer…BABY SNUGGLES ROCK!
For the Englers, I worked to create a session that included a little nod to the rainbow baby miracle she is and to show off her beautiful strawberry hair. She has the best features and is really a beautiful mixture of both of her parents. See a little sneak peak of their session below.

About a rainbow baby…
A rainbow baby "is a baby born after a miscarriage, stillborn, or neonatal death," Jennifer Kulp-Makarov, M.D., FACOG, explained to Parents.com. "It is called a rainbow baby because it is like a rainbow after a storm: something beautiful after something scary and dark."
