Well, I'm a little behind a blogging. OK, a lot behind! I'm hoping to get back into a regular routine again and show everyone all all the beautiful babies that I get to work with.
This little guy is Thomas! I loved how his session went! I loved it so much that I printed the green image on a large metal print and hung it up in my studio.
Here is to getting back on track with blogging! Enjoy this little guys images!
Sweet baby, Elsie, is a true testament to the innocence and newness of life. Elise is a rainbow baby and her mom asked me to incorporate that into one of the images. A “rainbow baby” is a baby that is born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or infant loss. A beautiful and bright rainbow follows a storm and gives hope of things getting better. The rainbow is more appreciated having just experienced the storm in comparison.
Meet Zoe! I've worked with her big sister now for a while and I was so honored to take Zoe's newborn photos. She just loved being curled up on the beanbag in our studio! Mom asked me to include angel wings, a beautiful floral crown and the gold crown with the letter "Z" into her newborn session. We had so much fun and Zoe was made to model! We wish the Bussan family all the best!
Zoe..."Your wings already exist, all you have to do is fly."
I always feel humbled with another photographer or artist asks me to take their brand new baby's portraits! Elaina's mom, Callie, is also a photographer and she brought some great props for me to include in her first session. She brought her cowboy boots from her wedding and her guitar. We worked these all in with a little country flair and a Wartick Photography twist!
At the viewing appointment, Elaina had both her grandmas and parents! It was so much fun showing them the gallery of art we created for her and watching how they cuddled her too! Elaina is one blessed little girl and so loved!
Ainsley is so loved by her beautiful mamas! We included some of her moms' favorite childhood books in her session too!
A fews months ago now, I photographed Lily! Lily is the newest member of the fun-filled Murphy family. Both mom and dad are design experts (Dad even is a co-owner of a local creative firm), but they gave me free rein to style the session how I see fit. Lily's mom, Heather, shared that she was doing her nursery in coral, gold polka dots and a little unicorn magic. Heather even made some beautiful graphics for her daughter's nursery so she wanted to be able to put images up that coordinated with the graphics. I pulled things to bring in the whimsy of her nursery, but to also provide a look of timelessness for her pictures. I love how it turned out. We even used Lily's stuffed unicorn, blanket and crown in her images.
For the sibling images, we had to get a little creative. Although her big brother loved his littler sister so much, he wasn't too sure about posing with her for a few pictures. Therefore, we did each of the kiddos separately and put them together in Photoshop. Gotta love photoshop!
Thank you for the honor of letting me capture as your family grows!
Welcome, Lily! You are just perfect!
Brand new Michael came up from the Quad Cities for his very first photo shoot. His big brother and sister were so proud of him and did such an amazing job taking their sibling pictures. Some times sibling images can be pretty difficult depending on the ages, but for these two they made it look like cake. Enjoy a little peak into their session below.
The Kirby family welcomes their sixth child, Alex. I love how this first photo turned out with Alex in his father's hands. It resembles all the love this little guy will have in his life from his mother, father and siblings.
Oh my gosh, just look at her face! Those cheeks! Violet was a perfect angel for her session! Mom brought along a couple of beautiful headbands too including the mint one right below.
